Former biggest loser Contestant inspires others

with Nature Photography and Messages that Document 365 Sunrise Walks Covering 3,600 Miles on Miami Beach.

(Miami Beach, Florida) Mark J. Wylie is a familiar figure on the sand to the thousands of Miami Beach tourists and residents he has met over the last year – in sunrise walks. Calling his project #walkwithwylie, it began as an antidote to the isolation of COVID. 

On July 14, 2021, Mark celebrated his 365th walk, having covered more than 3,600 miles. He has also taken thousands of pictures which are adorned with motivational words and phrases. 

“My walking - and the work I do while walking - gives me purpose and hope that things will get better.
Sometimes I write inspirational words in the sand that remind me and others that the greatest beauty
in life is in the ‘journey.’” noted Mark Wylie. 

Mark Wylie has turned his best images into greeting cards that are available for purchase at walkwithwylie.com.  While the project started on Miami Beach, Wylie plans to take it on the road, to create collections of motivational images (and greeting cards) from around the world.
